Anyone for tennis?

With the recent success of Andy Murray and the up and coming Laura Robson, British tennis is looking better than at any other point in recent time. Watching a live Grand Slam is always a special occasion but having a competitive British player to cheer on also adds to the excitement.

In 2014 Andy Murray took to centre court on the first Monday to be the first British male to defend his title since 1937 when Fred perry attempted it. Unfortunately his challenge ended in the quarter finals to one of the new brigade of up and coming players, Grigor Dimitov. In the end Novak Djokovic took the title in a thrilling 5 set final.

Playing in all whites, eating strawberries & cream and the unpredictable weather are just some of Wimbledon’s traditions that not only make it a highlight of Britain’s sporting calendar but also the world’s. The traditions may remain the same but Centre Court has seen some changes in recent years. A retractable roof guarantees you won’t miss any of the action whatever the British summer has to offer.
