This program is ideal for international students who require an internship as part of their university education or for someone who wants to further their career in a related field, or explore a new career completely. University students may be eligible to receive university credit for this program. This is a perfect summer or short-term internship program!
Internship programs in Canada for international students provide real-life experience and an opportunity to explore Canada while building a career and gaining valuable and enjoyable life experience abroad. These internships are available in the cosmopolitan Canadian cities of Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.
Program Description
- unpaid professional internship
- open year-round
- minimum length 4 weeks
- maximum length 24 weeks
- customized internship planning, CV revision, interview preparation, guaranteed internship placement, support and reporting throughout the duration of the program as well as a certificate of completion and letter of reference
Internship Program Requirements
- be a registered student (abroad or in Canada) age 17+
- intermediate to advanced level of English and/or French
- desire to learn and improve language skills
- eligible for the required visa according to Citizenship & Immigration Canada

Internship Fees & Budgeting For Your Stay in Canada

- Visa application fee (approximately $100 - $150 CAD depending on exchange rates)
- Medical insurance for duration of the program ($15 CAD / week)
- Flight (depending on departure and arrival cities)
- Airport Reception ($90 - $120 depending on city)
- Accommodation ($700 - $850 CAD / month depending on meals, dorm, host family)
- Transportation (monthly public transportation passes range from $80 - $150 CAD depending upon location)
